Cards that Raev and I did for her family. She did all the cutting and pasting, I just made the quick sketches of the birds.
Eastern Bluebird: Special delivery for the sweetest Grandma ever!
Northern Cardinal: Cardinals are red/This card is blue (ish)/You are our Mom/and we love you (a lot).
Carolina Wren: Dude, you rock.
Carolina Chickadee: I pick you to chick-a-be-be-be my sweetie!
Red-bellied Woodpecker: Wood you be mine? (I mean, I did come all the way out of my nest, well, I poked my head out, that counts for something, right?)
…Alright, the chickadee pun may have also been mine. >.>
I realize this is probably going to get a swarm of angry replies, but it just doesn’t feel to me like Eleven and River have the chemistry and relationship we’re told they do. So much about their relationship feels really uncomfortable, and the fact that they’re apparently married feels as contrived as badly characterized fanfiction does to me. I love them both as characters, but I just don’t buy the two of them together.

It’s wine o’clock (somewhere) — which means it’s time to share a wine-related repurposing find:
Save corks and use them as handles for hors d’oeuvre/food spreaders. (Via Yarni Gras!, which provides brief how-to DIY steps.)
